Troubleshooting PrintingQ: The side of the page is cut off when I print
A: Most likely, the page is too wide for the paper orientation (the direction the page prints). Portrait orientation puts the short edge of the page on the top and bottom, and landscape orientation puts the long edge of the page on the top and bottom. If your page is getting cut off, you may need to change the orientation.
- In Internet Explorer for Windows or Macintosh, and Netscape Communicator for Macintosh, click on the File menu, choose Page Setup, select your orientation, and click ok. Print your document.
- In Netscape Communicator and Netscape 6.0+ for Windows, you cannot adjust your print orientation without adjusting your printer settings (not recommended).
Q: When I print on a Macintosh, pictures don't show up
A: Your print options may have the "print images" selection turned off, thus preventing the images from showing up. To enable printing images, open up the print dialogue box.
- In the print dialogue box, click on the menu labeled General
- Select the Internet Explorer menu option. Select the option in the new dialogue box labeled Print Images. Print your document
- If this fails, the images you are trying to print may be part of the background. Return to the Internet Explorer dialogue box and select the Print Background option.
