Read more:

A Learning Object Repository is a file storage area accessible in any of your courses. Your Learning Object Repository provides you with a basic storage area for your files. You can add files from your computer or create ANGEL items like pages, assessments, or surveys.

In addition, your Learning Object Repository enables you to access files in this storage area from any of your courses. From within your course you can copy or link to items in the Learning Object Repository. If you have a document that needs to appear in more than one of your courses, you can put that document in the Learning Object Repository and link to it from each of your courses. When you change this document in the Learning Object Repository, any course linked to it will be updated automatically.

How to Add files to your Learning Object Repository:
Click the Learning Object Repository icon on the left side on your ANGEL page Click on the Personal link in the Repositories section of that page. Notice the toolbar under this title.

Click the Add Content link to add items.

Here you can see the various items you can author from within ANGEL. This menu is identical to that found in the Lessons tab in any of your courses. Click the item you wish to add and follow the process as you would from within your course.

Make Your Repository Available to Your Course
At the top of the LOR Management Console, click on the Manage tab. Under the Repository Access section, click on the link for Course and Group Access. On the right side, click on My Courses under the Add Associations From section. Check the box to the left of the course that needs access to your LOR. Click the Add Selected button. The course you selected will appear in the Current Associations list on the left side of this page. Click the Home button and then your course's link to return to your course. Note: You can optionally leave Automatically map all courses to my personal repository checked and then you won't have to do this for individual courses. How to Link to your Learning Object Repository Items:
From within one of your ANGEL courses, click the Lessons tab. Locate the tool bar under the title and click on the Add Content link. From this menu click on the Import From Learning Object Repository choice.

On the left side will be a list of LORs this course can access. Find the appropriate LOR and click the Plus next to it to display the LOR contents. When you find a file(s) you wish to link or copy into your course, click the checkbox(s) next to the item you want. Note: Clicking on the file name will open a popup window and display the contents of the page for you to view.

On the right side of the page, the Link to Items button will allow you to link to any file in your Learning Object Repository library to the course. Please note that the only place you will be able to edit this file is in your Learning Object Repository library, but it will automatically update in any linked location. If you choose to Copy Items this will make a duplicate of the item in your Learning Object Repository library for use in your course. This file will be fully editable from within your course. Click either of these buttons to see that the link or copy has been made.

By default, the file will be placed at the top level (root) of you course content. Use the Add To drop down menu to select a specific folder or add a new folder.

You will be asked to review several Copy Options. Check those you wish to have copied and click the Continue button.

You will get a confirmation that the item has been imported. Click Done to return to the folder from which you started.
