You may be asked to install additional pieces of software which will allow you to use certain applications via your web browser. These are often referred to as plug-ins (used with Netscape browsers), or Active-X controls (used with Internet Explorer browsers). Check the Special Topics section for links to sites where you can download free software. These sites also provide instructions on how to download and install the software for your machine configuration. Specific courses list materials needed for your upcoming class. Some ANGEL courses have a Getting Started (or comparable) folder which contains such information.
