The Guide is another way to navigate through a course or group. By default, the Guide is turned off but can be activated by clicking the guide button located above the system navigation power strip along the left side of the page. This is only available from within a course. The Guide provides access to the Map, What’s New, Tasks and Search. Quick steps:

1. Navigate to your Home page.
2. Select a course by clicking on its link.
3. When you are in a course, the Guide button appears at the top of the icon power strip.
4. Click the Guide button to gain access to the course Map, What’s New, Tasks and Search tools.
5. Click the Guide button again to close this panel.
6. A panel opens with options at the bottom. Click on an option and the panel above will change with your choice.
7. Use the menus and drop boxes to make choices.
8. Use the + and – icons to expand or collapse items.
