The section entitled My ANGEL Courses lists all courses for which you have access permission. There are controls available that allow you to choose if a course is displayed in this list, and if so what information is included there.
Just to the right of the section header is an edit button. Click on the edit button to access My ANGEL Courses Settings. This page contains two sections.
Section 1: Display Filter
The first section on this page shows an entire list of courses for which you have access permission. To the left of each list item is a box. If the box is checked, the course will display on your Home page. If the box is not checked, it will not display on your Home page. Click in the box to either check or uncheck it. Be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the page when you are done.
Section 2: Advanced Settings
The bottom section on this page provides controls for how your Home page displays courses. If none of these options are selected, only the title of your course will display, in alphabetical order.
You can cause your courses to be displayed in groups by selecting Group By options such as Semester and Category. This helps keep different semester offerings distinct. As you add courses to your list, you will find this organizational tool helpful.
Each listing under My ANGEL Courses is by the course name. You can include further identifiers on a second line by choosing from the Also Display category. Role lists your course role; Category displays merged or development information; Instructor lists the instructor of record; and Semester displays the MSU Semester code (FS for fall, SS for spring and US for summer); and Course Dates lists a course by date.
The Tasks option allows you to determine what new items display under each course. By default, Ungraded, Mail, Posts, Milestones, and Tasks are checked.
The Show Disabled setting must be set to Yes in order for you to see disabled courses in your listings. While this is No by default, you most likely will want to change it to Yes. When your courses are created each semester they are disabled by default. If you have Show Disabled set to Yes you will see the course in your My ANGEL Courses list and can click it and go in to enable it. If it is set to No you will not see the course on your Home page. (You will still see it on your My ANGEL Courses Settings page.)
Whatever choices you make, be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the page. You will be returned to your Home page.
