Description

The Shockwave Player is a plugin for browsers that allows you to play both video and audio over the web.

Materials Needed

You may need to download and install free Shockwave Player software from Macromedia. Shockwave Player ships with Windows 95, 98, Mac OS, Internet Explorer CD, American Online and Netscape Navigator.

If you don't have a Shockwave Player and would like it, or need a more recent version, click here to download Shockwave Player (when you download Shockwave, Macromedia Flash Player is automatically included.).

Try It!

Test your Shockwave tools; go to the Macromedia Shockwave test site.

  • Click on the link above to visit the Macromedia Shockwave web site.
  • If you have Shockwave Player already installed on your computer, you will see links to movies and games created by Macromedia. Some VU courses have games and demos created much like the ones on this site. Try some of them out. If you see a broken icon, you need to install the most recent Shockwave Player.
  • * Click the BACK button on your browser controls to return to this page.
